PRODUCTS

In order to respond to various user’s demands such as quality improvement, production efficiency and reduction of production costs, we have been working on gathering data on supplied products from all basic research, exchanging information closely with users, and developing new products.
As a result, we have developed and manufactured many high-quality products, mainly Carbon products for Blast Furnaces, Electric Furnaces (Sub-merged Arc Furnace), and Aluminum Reductions Pots.

In 1952, we had made first supply of Carbon Block to Yawata Steel Works. Since then, our Blast Furnace Carbon products have been highly evaluated for their excellent quality and we have been supplied more than 500 Blast Furnaces in the world. This is a proof that our R&D activities are user-oriented and close to users.

In addition, due to the requirement of longer campaign life of the Blast Furnace, we worked together with our users to elucidate the wear mechanism of hearth bottom area by investigation of dismantled Blast Furnace.
In 1981, we have developed Micropore Carbon Block BC-7S and in 1985, Super Micropore Carbon Block BC-8SR. Our development was highly evaluated and it was the first time as refractory in Japan to receive the Science and Technology Agency Director's Award and Invention Achievement Award. Since then, we have been developing various products in response to a wide range of users in Japan and overseas.
